Positioning Statement

audioShare is the first all digital music system with selective call intercom. The system connects multiple music inputs, allowing you to direct music from any source to any destination in the home. Customize each room’s music output from utilizing the built-in wall station speaker to adding an in-wall amp and in-ceiling speakers or even adding a surround sound receiver, subwoofer, and speakers. And, unlike analog systems, audioShare offers room-to-room calling, monitoring, conference calls, full hands-free talking, and more.

The audioShare System

100% Digital – all transmission of audio between stations is 100% digital for superior audio quality, including transmission of digital surround sound and other industry standard digital audio formats

All-Master System – each unit is a master and can direct music or communicate with and remotely control the settings or operations of any other unit.

LCD Screen – the screen shows the user exactly what the system is doing and identifies rooms involved in broadcasts/communications, also includes an adjustable intensity backlight

Smart Volume™ – regardless of the current setting of the volume control, the next communication begins at the user preset volume level. (This prevents the problem of the volume being turned all the way down, rendering the unit useless until someone turns it up.) In addition, volume controls of any unit can be adjusted remotely from any other unit

Privacy Settings – configure settings for each room such as no listening to the master bedroom (mic off), no doorbell sounds in the baby’s room (doorbell off), or no “all call” broadcasts are heard in the guest room(speaker off). Lock the settings with a passcode if you prefer

Software Upgrades – as future software upgrades for the system become available with new features, updating the system is done either by a visit with a laptop or over the Internet

Full door chime integration – music and intercom are interrupted to broadcast the door chime, then restored until the door unit is answered

Music Interrupt - Music is temporarily interrupted during intercom calls and automatically restored after the call is completed.

Music Aspects of audioShare

Multiple Location Audio Sources – use an iPOD or other MP3 player, CD player, home stereo, computer, satellite radio, etc. as a music source, wherever it is located in the home

Bi-directional Music – send music to or from audio equipment, including home theaters, in full surround sound

In-Wall Amps and Speakers – for rooms that require high-fidelity stereo sound, add a discrete in-wall amp and in ceiling (or in-wall) speakers

Proprietary bus architecture without packetizing provides perfect synchronization of music throughout the home

Quick Touch Music™ – call up music from the pre-set default location in an instant

Intercom Aspects of audioShare

Selective Call – talk with a specific room or any number of rooms from any room

True Hands Free – once the communication is established, the system is hands free like a speaker phone

Conference call – have three or more units in a hands-free conversation at once

Monitor – hear what’s going on in a specific room and send that to any or all other rooms

Listen – hear what’s going on in all other areas of the home with Room ID displayed

Noise Cancellation – in monitor or listen mode, background noise is digitally eliminated

Installation of audioShare

Simple and Flexible Wiring – uses Cat 5 wire in a home-run, daisy chain, or combination for extremely convenient wiring configuration. For example, home run to rooms close to the wiring closet, daisy chain remote rooms from there! Units are also powered over the Cat 5 wire

Retrofit Ready – all units are the approximate size of many old analog intercoms that may require replacement. If old wiring has at least 4 wires — twisted pair or shielded — audioShare can use the old wire to replace.

Scalability – install up to 250 units!

Engineered for Superior Quality

Gold plated button contacts on keypad and gold plated header connections between printed circuit boards

Rotary encoder on volume control prevents a “scratchy” volume knob in later years and enables menu scrolling

Other quality items like glass/epoxy PC boards, poly-resettable fuses, switching power regulators, ESD protection, and over-voltage and short circuit protection for safety and reduction of callbacks!
